Confessions during Advent
The Sacrament of Reconciliation
Christmas Giving Tree
One of the beautiful traditions of our parish during Advent is our Advent Giving Tree. It stands near the side altar of St. Ann, You are invited to take one or more of the tags on the tree, purchase the gift requested, return it UNWRAPPED with the tag on the gift by December 17th. These gifts will be distributed to needy families of our parish and community just in time for Christmas. Many thanks for your kind generosity in making Christmas a bit more joyful for our sisters and brothers in need.
A Blessed and Happy New (Church) Year to all! The season of Advent begins a new liturgical year in the Church. As the Universal Norms for the Liturgical Year and the Calendar remind us, “Advent has a two-fold character, for it is a time of preparation for the Solemnities of Christmas, in which the First Coming of the Son of God to humanity is remembered, and likewise, a time when, by remembrance of this, minds and hearts are led to look forward to Christ’s Second Coming at the end of time. For these two reasons, Advent is a period of devout and expectant delight.” Advent calls us to take a long, serious look at our lives and see where we need to grow deeper in our relationship with the Lord and change those things in our life which hinder or are obstacles to that growth.
