Emily Swenarton
The Music Ministry would like to extend a warm "thank you" to Emily Swenarton for volunteering her time and sharing her talents with us as a cantor for the past several years here at St. Rose Parish. We are grateful to her for all she has brought to the Music Ministry in serving in the role. We wish her the Lord's blessings as she attends the University of Scranton this fall. Thank you, Emily and God bless!
Caregiver Volunteers
We are joining a new program here at St. Rose called Caregiver Volunteers. Check the bulletin or go on line Trained volunteers will be available to visit the homebound, give rides to the doctor's or just to listen. Get involved!

Parish Picnic
Join us as we celebrate as a community on Friday, Aug. 25 in the Church parking lot at 5PM. Delicious food, games and crafts and live music! Tickets will be available after Masses.
St. Rose of Lima Feast Day
Wednesday, August 23 will be a retreat given by Fr. Kevin O'Neill, a dynamic priest and preacher. Mass at 9 AM, continental breakfast after in the Parish Center followed by a talk at 10:15. Confessions after in church. Then at 7 PM we will have a special Holy Hour presided by Fr. Kevin with a talk on the Eucharist. To finish the day, we'll have an ice cream social downstairs.

Our own parishioner, past president of St. Vincent de Paul and tireless worker for the poor, was honored by the Belmar Mayor and Council. The Chaplet of the Divine Mercy 1.Begin with the Sign of the Cross, 1 Our Father, 1 Hail Mary and The Apostles Creed. 2. Then on the Our Father Beads, say the following: Eternal Father, I offer You the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your dearly beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world. 3. On the 10 Hail Mary Beads say the following: For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and the whole world. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for all five decades. 4. Conclude with, three times, Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, Have mercy on us and the whole world.
